IRVIN COOPER MEMORIAL
CHORAL SERIES
Dr. Don Collins published the Dr. Irvin Cooper arrangements posthumously.
Dr. Cooper spent most of a lifetime researching and writing choral music that enabled early adolescents to sing through their vocal mutation period.
The well-known "Cambiata Concept" which he originated and developed, promoted the basic tenet that "Music should be written to fit the voice instead of attempting to make the voice fit the music."

*The comfortable singing range for some parts in these pieces may be too low for adolescent male-treble and female-treble voices. This occurs primarily when a part has been deemed singable for both trebles and cambiatas. Many of the parts recommended for these two voices lie within a suitable range for both, however it is advisable to check their ranges when you view them online before purchasing. This applies to the voicings marked with an asterisk.
