The familiar lyrics from Handel's Opera,
Semele, have been set in a very sensitive, artistic, and expressive
way by Dr. James Cram. The
original was written in the key of A minor and recommended for all-male
choral groups; however, it has been set in the key of E minor
by Bill Rich and recommended for mixed groups. Once learned, the singers will
have difficulty dismissing the haunting sound of this
work.
