The lyrics to this composition are inspiring.  The phrase "love is the seed" is a metaphor which may have two different life applications.  Love, as a seed, is planted, it sprouts, and it grows, rendering a magnificent plant for all to enjoy. 

In another sense, the seed could represent the essence of life. Love is the seed that comples others to blossom and grow into beautiful human beings.

 

The music is set to a Billie Holiday blues-swing style.

 

Printed copies of the two-part settings are only available as part of the three-part arrangements.  Part III is optional so it may be sung as a two-part setting by simply ignoring Part III.  It is conceived to sound fine as both a two-part and three-part arrangement.
