Hang In There, but Hang Loose

(click the voicing to view and hear online)

Two-Part            Three-Part

This is one of the cool novelty pieces also released in the Nostalgia Choral Series. "Hang in there" was part of the jargon of the early 70s.  The term inferred "Quit complaining, hang in there." But if you were really cool, you would "hang loose,"  This setting uses a musical ploy of the era:  the non-sensical backup syllables that were part of the 70s rock 'n roll and soft-rock scene.    The students will enjoy experiencing stepping back into that era even if they don't know exactly what it was all about.  The piece employs a brisk tempo, and enough syncopation to keep it from sounding like country music.  Enjoy it!
