Emmanuel's Birth

 

This is a medley of three Christmas carols (Angels We Have Heard on High, Away in a Manger, and Hark, the Herald Angels Sing).  Mixing the pieces offers a variety of  tempi, moods, and dynamic changes.  The work is very accessible and easy to learn.  Based on the familiarity of these well-known Christmas tunes and Siltman's ability to createg appealing arrangements, the audience (or congregation) will love it.

 

The piece is best suited by all male groups.  It may be sung as CCB, orTreb,CI/CII/B, or it may be sung by older adolescents as TBB (T=Tenor).  It may also be sung by mixed groups.  Access the Three-part Variable Voicing Chart to determine the different voicings that are available to various age groups.
