This well-known, "crowd-pleasing," German folk song includes
the German text which consists of 12 easy words. The
eight measure introduction is written in four-parts (madrigal style); the remainder is in a round. Singing four-parts in German will give your group a
terrific feeling of accomplishment. Percussion
instruments add an extra dimension by replacing the "letter" clapping. It may be a little silly, but a lot of fun.
Access the
four-part
variable voicing charts to view the options that are available to sing the
piece with different age groups.
