Ave Verum Corpus

This masterwork by William Byrd (1540-1623) has been adapted for choirs comprised of singers with changing voices. An attempt has been made to maintain the
authenticity of the work with only slight edits to conform to the range limitations of early adolescent singers.
The arrangement can be
sung by high school, college, and adult choirs who have more women than men. Because three parts are written in the treble clef and one in
the bass clef, choir directors with more women than men will find that this arrangment fits a SSAB better than attempting to sing the SATB voicing.
