This rousing two-part setting of Irvin
Berlin's Alexander's Ragtime Band is excellent for an all-boy's group,
although it may be sung as a two-part mixed piece. When sung by
all-boys:
Part I -- Cambiatas I/II
Part II -- Cambiata II/Baritones.
Andy Gaus has captured the essence of the
piece with the singers miming brass instruments and the accompaniment of a
ragtime piano part with kazoo. It won't take long for Berlin's music to capture your students' music imagination.
