This beautiful chorale closes
Dubois' much performed holy week cantata. It has been adapted for early
adolescent choirs: SACB.
Up-tempo and rhythmic, this highly accesible work is an favorite of young singers. Students with a musical soul are captured by the work's sheer beauty. Dubois' Adoramus Te is perfect for teaching homophonic texture and legato singing.
An English translation is available for groups that would rather not sing in Latin. available. Another option is to sing the work through in Latin and then repeat it in English.
It is often sung SSAB by
adult choirs with more women than men. It is a one-rehearsal piece for any
worship service during holy week, but especially for Easter Sunday.
